CSS - Align Text With Images.
I would like the align text next to the image and have it flow from the top down. Not adjacent then underneath it.
HTML Source CSS Source Once you view the html file, I think you get a better picture of what I'm talking about. Similar TutorialsHey guys, what I'm trying to do seems simple but I can't seem to figure it out. I have a wordpress blog and am formatting the text, I've used line-height, line-spacing and letter-spacing because I want to make it readable. Now what I'm trying to do is align the width of the paragraphs to the images or at least to the widge of the post container which is 585px. I changed the width to 585px and it that didn't help. My site is (havenhart[dot]com) and as an example, see (oneaboveone[dot]com) that site has the text aligned to the image, or atleast te container width. Can anyone offer any resources on how to do this? Thanks. I know a lot of people have made posts about vertical aligning but nearly all were involving text. I'm trying to vertically align a small image, but every time i do it within the img tag it screws up the adjacent text on IE and only IE. I know it has to do with how vertical align is supposed to be used, specific blocks or inline or something. How would I go about vertically aligning that small arrow image on the top properly. http://chics.onivertneb.com/align.htm OK, I have three images: a top, middle, and bottom that need to align vertically. It should look like a typewriter with paper coming out when said and done. You can see what's wrong at csshore(dot)com Here is the css: #top { background:url(images/top.gif) no-repeat; background-position:50%; width: 617px; float:none; margin:0 auto; height: 55px; position: relative; } #container { background:url(images/middle.gif) repeat-y; background-position:center; width: 601px; padding:0; margin:0 auto; height: 100%; position: relative; min-height:600px; } #bottom { background:url(images/bottom.gif) no-repeat; background-position:50%; width: 800px; height:485px; margin:0 auto; position: relative; } .center { background-image:url(images/wood014.jpg); } And the html: <div id="top" class="center"></div> <div id="container" class="center">When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for a people to through off the reigns of governement and create a new one. </div> <div id="bottom" class="center"></div> Ignore the failed attempt to quote the Declaration of Independence. I have tried everything I know (which admittedly is little) and I can't get them to align. Thanks in advance. I need to align 3 images in one column and I do not know what attributes should I use for it. I can use it in html as a table, but how in css? Thank you I've been having problems trying to vertically align an image within a div. I'm trying to align it to the bottom of the div. CSS as follows: #col1r1 { float: left; height: 40%; width: 33%; display: inline; text-align: right; } div#col1r1 div#image { bottom: 66%; left: 60%; color: black; vertical-align: bottom; } div#col1r1 div img.pagegr { width: 60%; } HTML: <div id="col1r1"> <div id="image"><img class="pagegr" src="images/blah.gif" alt=""></div> </div> Unfortunately this code will be appearing on multiple pages with a different image on each page - some portrait, some landscape, and of varying sizes - otherwise, I would have added some blank space to the top of image itself to make it fit and sit nicely aligned with the bottom of the box. I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance. In the main page here, there look to be 2 columns. How can I align all the smaller images with the bottom of the big image? Sometimes there are 3 photos, sometimes there are 6. At the moment it looks like it is all in divs. Is there a way to do it in CSS with the current code. The HTML looks a bit messy: http://www.truly organic foods.com/cashew-cacao-cluster-275g.php I have a div with blue background on the page below. It is is currently displaying horitzontally across the screen, with the images inside doing the same. I would like to vertically align it along the right side of the page, next to the text (which would be on the left). I'd also like the 'Property Search' within the blue, aligned below the photo of the house. Can anyone help me out? I'd like to KNOW how to do it and not have someone just send me an updated style sheet. Thanks. Styles attached. http://mulqueenconsulting.com/galese/ On this page: http://www.artquestbeauty.com/css/facials.html, the images appear just the way I want them to. On this page: http://www.artquestbeauty.com/css/skintreatments.html the image of the girl in the orange dress is pushed way down in the div, though I inserted it right next to the "Back Facial" heading. I have a lot of "sandbag" divs that wrap the text around the background image and around the leftimage div. I was thinking this was the problem, but since it works fine on other pages, I'm back to square one. Can anyone see what I'm missing? In the 1990s, states began regulati<img src="../Images/clientphotos/browsandliner.jpg" alt="Brow and Liner Permanent Makeup" width="400" height="200" class="align-left" />ng permanent cosmetics and today more than 15,000 technicians are practicing world-wide. In the US, one in four women has a tattoo and 8 million have permanent cosmetics.</p> <h3><br /> Safety and Comfort Concerns</h3> <p>Modern pigments that contain inert organic and inorganic compounds remain stable when implanted into the skin, are hypo-allergenic, fade-resistant and are MRI-safe because they do not contain ferromagnetics or heavy metals such as iron oxides. With the use of topical anesthetic creams, there is very little discomfort. Infections or allergic reactions are very rare. <img src="../Images/clientphotos/PermCos/LipsBeforeAfter.jpg" alt="Permanent Cosmetics" width="574" height="113" class="align-left" />However, a small spot test can be requested if you are concerned. </p> <h3>Some Permanent Cosmetic Options</h3> <p>Your natural eyebrows can be a basic guideline to follow for penciling-in or can be a total brow re-creation. Mucosal liner really opens up the eyes and can cost $300 to $500.</p> <p>Lip liner give lips more definition, can correct unevenness, or add fullness and costs from $350 to $850. Full lip color (see photo below) can be applied in either a natural hue or a more vivid one, and costs $400 to $1500.</p> <p>Paramedical procedures, such as areola reconstruction range from $150 to $500 per hour.</p> <h2>Call today for your free skin analysis and consultation.</h2> </div> <div id="leftimagepermanentmakeup"></div> <!--end of text div--> </div> </body> </html> Here's the css: Code: @charset "utf-8"; Here is my unformatted table... Code: <tr height="75"> <td><div align="right">12</div></td> <td><div style="vertical-align:top; text-align:right">13</div></td> <td>14</td> <td>15</td> <td>16</td> <td>17</td> <td>18</td> </tr> I want the numbers to be aligned top right, but if I put other data in there(currently there is none, but there will be), I'd like it to be aligned left. I tried using the vertical-align property in a div tag, but that didn't do anything... I can get it to align right with a div tag... sorry if it's such a stupid quesiton... Also, a side note... I thought that span allows you to align text as well using the style property, but that doesn't work at all (not even just to the right) I have the following CSS: Code: span.title { {color:#c38ec7;text-decoration: underline;font-family: forte;font-variant:small-caps;font-weight:bold;font-size:165%} } ... it works fine but when I try and put 'text-align:center;' that attribute does not seem to work. Is there any way of doing this??? Thanks I have both Chinese characters and English characters in one paragraph, but they don't align to the bottom with the English characters appearing like . I have used 'vertical-align' to align the text, but not successful. Pls help. OK I have a layer that is described here : div#footer { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height:14; background-color: #EED; font: 10px Verdana, sans-serif;} In this layer I wish to have some text in the left of the bar and at the far right (align-right) some text also ... how would i achieve this ??? -Thanks- I was having some trouble centering my layout in Firefox. It looked fine in IE6 (yes... it's a pain to work in, but it's the nature of the beast when doing internal intranet stuff) when I simply used "text-align: center;" but the layout wouldn't center until I added "text-align: -moz-center;" under that (in the body style). Is this an acceptable way of doing things? Is this a flaw in Firefox or is it more likely that I'm not doing things right? (yes I know I haven't posted code, this was more a high level question of when/if "text-align: -moz-center;" should be used). Please look at this page - http://www.tmhdesign2.com/home-payment-calculator.asp Why can I not justify the paragraph of text on this page for Firefox??? How do I align the text in my navbar vertically? I'm trying to do this. edit.... I can't post the link by adding vertical-align:middle; to my navbar tag and its not working. Do you see where i'm going wrong? Confused yet? What's the best way to accomplish this? page testimonials.css Main.CSS If you look at the page, you will see that I have the "signature" of the testimonial giver aligned right, but I would like the two p elements to be aligned along their left edge as well (but on the right side of the page, with everything flowing around any images)... I tried floating them right, which and clearing the floats, but then the testimonials don't flow around the images... can this be done without getting divitis? I have a footer image on a site and I want to line up some of the text on the left and some of the text on the right. The relevant css footer code is this: Code: #footer { clear:both; background:url(images/footer.jpg); width:780px; height:71px; color:#ffffff; font-size:xx-small; } #footer .notover {padding-top:54px;} The xhtml is this: Code: <div id="footer"> <div class="notover">All this stuff is left aligned 54px from the top of the image.</div> </div> Now, how do I add some text on the same line as the class="notover" text that is right aligned? I thought it would be as simple as creating another div that specified text-align:right; but the text shows up right aligned and way below the footer image. Thanks in advance. Hi all if you look here -> http://www.prxa.info/gol2/community.php to the right where it has status updates i wish the update itself to align to the top of the avatar images to the left of it? |
