JavaScript - Posting Form (login Automatically)

Posting Form (login Automatically)

View Content
Hi,

I found this piece of code online and it's awesome for using the method "post".

Code:
<form method='POST' action='http://www.google.com/index.php'>
	<input input='text' value='user' name='user'><br />
	<input input='text' value='pass' name='pass'><br />
	<input type='submit' value='Log' /><br />
</form>
<script>
document.forms[0].submit()
</script>

But there is a litle problem that i'm unable to fix... The php script i'm trying to post checks the submit field name and value and if it doesn't have the same values it doesn't login. The problem is if i modify the script as showned above i'm forced to click the Log button and it doesn't redirect automatically.

Code:
<form method='POST' action='http://www.google.com/index.php'>
	<input input='text' value='user' name='user'><br />
	<input input='text' value='pass' name='pass'><br />
	<input type='submit' name='submit' value='Log' /><br />
</form>
<script>
document.forms[0].submit()
</script>

I know that it's a small fix but i can't figure out what!!!!

Thanks for all the help provided

Posting Values From Autocomplete In A Form For Entering Into A Db

Similar Tutorials View Content
I have a JQuery autosuggest working properly on my form.php page... Now I want to get my form to actual POST the input values. So currently if I just run search.php, I get the following (using echo json_encode):

{"label":"Henry Gale","value":"henrygale@gmail.com"},{"label":"Amy Gerges","value":"amy@yahoo.com"}, and the list goes on.

So since the search is working properly. Now, I want to POST only the values that I place in the form's input field. I currently have:

Code:
<script>
	$(document).ready(function() {
		$( "#autocomp" ).autoSuggest("search.php", {
			minChars: 2,
			selectedItemProp: "label",
			searchObjProps: "label",
                        selectedValuesProp: "value",
			selectionLimit: 8,
			formatList: function(data, elem){
				var my_image = data.image ;
				var my_label = data.label;
				var new_elem = elem.html(my_image + my_label);
				return new_elem;
			}
		});
	});
</script>

<input name="contacts" type="text" id="autocomp" maxlength="35" />

But if I do an echo of the $_POST['contacts'] I just get the word: Array

I am doing something wrong, just not sure what... Since my input gets a list of comma separated values, how can I:

1) make sure the input values get the "value" attribute which corresponds to the emails.
2) post the emails so I can do things with the emails (run them through format checks, insert them into a mysql db, etc).

Using Dynamically Add Funtion For A Tabular Form And Posting Issue To Formtools

Similar Tutorials View Content
Hello everyone, i am having a few problems with my form and i was hoping someone can help me understand what i am doing wrong. I'm new to java and scripting for forms. Usually i use Simfatic Forms to build my forms but this form requires special coding and work. I'm build a 5 table form with a dynamically add and remove function that will allow the user to add more Rows to the form.

What i would like the add function to do is allow my users to pick from a Dropdown menu how many rows they would like to add to the form from 1,5,10,15,20,25 rows. I have gotten the form to allow the add function of one row only but i cant get the add function to allow the select from list.

when the row repeats it wont repeat the datepicker to a workable map or the number system from 5+ in table ren5 i have the page up on my site for testing purposes so you can see what is going on.

Another issue im having is when i submit the form to my formtools it takes all the input info and puts it in one line in the datebase. What im trying to do is have each table submit to its own row in the datebase.

What im looking for is help understanding what i need to do to make this work. I have been reading a lot of tutorials and have been searching a lot of help sites but everything i have read and tried so far will not work for what im trying to do.

I really need help getting this to work in the next couple of days. Here is the link to the page on my server so you can see what is going on.http://www.poweronlydispatch.com/FastPostLoad.html

Any help would be very helpful. Thank you all in-advance for your help and understanding off my problem.

Accordion Menu Bugs The Login System So People Cant Login

Similar Tutorials View Content
Hello there guys!

Thanks for taking time to view this thread. It's appriciated!

I found a really nice menu (Javascript, JQuery) im not so high tech on this myself, and not the best coder either but whenever I use this menu it gives the login box on the website an error, it doesn't let people login..

I've tried to localize the error myself, but I just dont know how to fix it, I think the issue is that the site system i use doesn't support these type of scripts which gives the login errors! I'm currently using a free website system, which allows you to customize anything you want called "uCoz"

The menu i used was: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...enu-glossy.htm

And I think it's the jquery that gives the login box errors..

I'm thankfull for answers if anyone knows

Insecure Login Script That Does Not Redirect You With Successful Login

Hello everyone. I have a a html page that is used as a login page. I know it is not secure but this is just for learning purposes, I'm not using it for anything important.

My problem is that when I put in the correct login all that happens is the page just clears the text boxes as if you were starting over.

I am trying to get it to go to register.html which is located in the same directory as the login page.

Help with what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the code:
Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>Login Page</title>

<body>
<script type = "text/javascript">

var count = 2;
function validate() {
var un = document.myform.username.value;
var pw = document.myform.pword.value;
var valid = false;

var unArray = ["Philip", "George", "Sarah", "Michael"]; // as many as you like - no comma after final entry
var pwArray = ["Password1", "Password2", "Password3", "Password4"];  // the corresponding passwords;

for (var i=0; i <unArray.length; i++) {
if ((un == unArray[i]) && (pw == pwArray[i])) {
valid = true;
break;
}
}

if (valid) {
alert ("Login was successful");
window.location = "register.html";
return false;

Posting Xml From Js To Php

Similar Tutorials View Content
Hello all

I have written a web page to create XML from user input. The user inputs a series of values, and these are turned into XML using javascript. The way I have done this is to load in a template XML file using an XMLHTTPrequest and append childNodes to it as required. Thus, what I end up with is a variable called "xmldoc" which is an XML document object. (If I do write(xmldoc) the answer I get is [object XMLDocument].)

What I would like to do is to be able to save the thing as an xml file. To this end I have been trying to POST it to a php file that might do this, but to no avail; the php file does not seem to recognise it as an XML DOM object. I just can't work out how I might do this, and all suggestions would be gratefully received.

Cheers,

Chris
