PHP - Why Is My Php Messing With My Div
Hi
I have a page that looks great without any php in it. As soon as I do a php db call all my div's align left and everything is skew. Does anyone know how this is possible and how to fix it? Thank you Jay Similar TutorialsSo i have an array with 1 item in it... this item is a sting that looks like so a:6:{i:0;a:4:{i:1;s:4:"Home";i:2;s:1:"/";i:3;s:1:"1";i:4;s:2:"fy";}i:1;a:4:{i:0;a:4:{i:1;s:4:"About";i:2;s:1:"/about";i:3;s:1:"1";i:4;s:2:"";}i:2; I need to somehow pull out all things that are within double quotation marks. Note: Some quotes are empty, but i need to know that. So the above should pull out Home / fy About /about Thanks! what I'm doing is uploading multiple images, usually a different amount each time. That works fine until I added a for loop using the rename function to get the images just uploaded and rename them. What's happening now is only the last image in the $uploaded_files array is actually being uploaded and being renamed. Am i using the wrong syntax somewhere? Thanks in advance for the replies. Code: [Select] if (isset($_POST['Submit'])) { $number_of_file_fields = 0; $number_of_uploaded_files = 0; $number_of_moved_files = 0; $unique_Id = uniqid(); $uploaded_files = array(); $upload_directory = dirname(__file__) . '/car-images/'; //set upload directory /** * we get a $_FILES['images'] array , * we procee this array while iterating with simple for loop * you can check this array by print_r($_FILES['images']); */ for ($i = 0; $i < count($_FILES['images']['name']); $i++) { $number_of_file_fields++; if ($_FILES['images']['name'][$i] != '') { //check if file field empty or not $number_of_uploaded_files++; $uploaded_files[] = $_FILES['images']['name'][$i]; if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['images']['tmp_name'][$i], $upload_directory . $_FILES['images']['name'][$i])) { $number_of_moved_files++; } } } ///This is the loop that's making it only upload one image and rename it. for ($i=0; $i < $number_of_uploaded_files; $i++) { rename($upload_directory . $uploaded_files[$i], $upload_directory . $unique_Id . '.jpg'); } I have a WYSIWYG on my site and somehow the users input it in the database with this at the end Code: [Select] <p The p tag is left open and messing up the styling on the page How can I fix it so this tag is removed or closed? Is there a php function I can use? I had originally created a topic on my pagination not working, but I found out what the problem was. The topic I had created was irrelevant to what the problem was... but anyway, here's my situation: I've got a query that searches in a MySQL table for a certain value. Then it list's all the findings in a table (pretty simple). Anyway, I obviously want to have a pagination system to make it easier to manage the amount of data per page. The pagination works fine, it's used for another query that just pulls data (so NO WHERE clause is used!). That is what is causing the problem. I spent hours trying to figure out why this is happening, then I figured out that the only difference between the pagination that works and the one that doesn't is the query have the where clause. What happens when the where clause is used is that the pagination works fine on the first page, but if you click the link to go to a different page, the page is empty and turns up no results so the mysql data that is pulled is lost. So here is my code. I don't know exactly why the where clause causes the pagination to not work. Code: [Select] $conn = mysql_connect("$mysql_host","$mysql_user","$mysql_password") or trigger_error("SQL", E_USER_ERROR); $db = mysql_select_db("$mysql_database",$conn) or trigger_error("SQL", E_USER_ERROR); // find out how many rows are in the table $sql = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ACTIVE WHERE MODEL='$model'"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $conn) or trigger_error("SQL", E_USER_ERROR); $r = mysql_fetch_row($result); $numrows = $r[0]; // number of rows to show per page $rowsperpage = 5; // find out total pages $totalpages = ceil($numrows / $rowsperpage); // get the current page or set a default if (isset($_GET['currentpage']) && is_numeric($_GET['currentpage'])) { // cast var as int $currentpage = (int) $_GET['currentpage']; } else { // default page num $currentpage = 1; } // end if // if current page is greater than total pages... if ($currentpage > $totalpages) { // set current page to last page $currentpage = $totalpages; } // end if // if current page is less than first page... if ($currentpage < 1) { // set current page to first page $currentpage = 1; } // end if // the offset of the list, based on current page $offset = ($currentpage - 1) * $rowsperpage; $sql = "SELECT * FROM ACTIVE WHERE MODEL='$model' ORDER BY INDEX_ID DESC LIMIT $offset, $rowsperpage"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $conn) or die('Error: ' . mysql_error()); echo " <table width=100% align=center border=1 class=\"mod\"><tr> <td align=center bgcolor=#00FFFF><b>Rating</b></td> <td align=center bgcolor=#00FFFF><b>Title</b></td> <td align=center bgcolor=#00FFFF><b>Make/Model</b></td> <td align=center bgcolor=#00FFFF><b>Type</b></td> <td align=center bgcolor=#00FFFF><b>Difficulty</b></td> <td align=center bgcolor=#00FFFF><b>Comments</b></td> <td align=center bgcolor=#00FFFF><b>Views</b></td> </tr>"; while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { { // Begin while $title = $row["TITLE"]; $type = $row["TYPE"]; $difficulty = $row["DIFFICULTY"]; $comments = $row["COMMENT_TOTAL"]; $id = $row['INDEX_ID']; $rating = $row["RATING_AVERAGE"]; $make = $row["MAKE"]; $model = $row["MODEL"]; $views = $row["HITS"]; echo " <tr> <td>$rating/10</td> <td><a href=\"mod.php?id=$id\">$title</a></td> <td>$make - $model</td> <td>$type</td> <td>$difficulty</td> <td>$comments</td> <td>$views</td> </tr>"; } } echo "</table><br />"; /****** build the pagination links ******/ echo "<center>"; // range of num links to show $range = 3; echo "<i>Page: </i>"; // if not on page 1, don't show back links if ($currentpage > 1) { // get previous page num $prevpage = $currentpage - 1; // show < link to go back to 1 page echo " <a stylehref='{$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']}?currentpage=$prevpage'>Previous</a> - "; } // end if // loop to show links to range of pages around current page for ($x = ($currentpage - $range); $x < (($currentpage + $range) + 1); $x++) { // if it's a valid page number... if (($x > 0) && ($x <= $totalpages)) { // if we're on current page... if ($x == $currentpage) { // 'highlight' it but don't make a link echo " <b>$x</b> "; // if not current page... } else { // make it a link echo " <a href='{$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']}?currentpage=$x'>$x</a> "; } // end else } // end if } // end for // if not on last page, show forward and last page links if ($currentpage != $totalpages) { // get next page $nextpage = $currentpage + 1; // echo forward link for next page echo " - <a href='{$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']}?currentpage=$nextpage'>Next</a> "; } // end if /****** end build pagination links ******/ mysql_close($conn); } echo "$pagination</center>"; ?> I really appreciate the help! Thanks. I am making a simple script for my friend that uses mod_rewrite, but for testing I don't use the mod_rewrite link. The page is video.php The extension is ?title= I have having a problem when I type the title with a Single Quote in it('). Example. video.php?title=The-Sorcerer's-Apprentice I have str_replace for the dash(-) to be replaced as a space, so that's not the problem. Here's my code. <?php if($_GET) { $title="{$_GET['title']}"; $title = str_replace('_', ' ', $title); $title = str_replace('-', ' ', $title); if ($list = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM videos WHERE title='". mysql_real_escape_string($title) ."'") or die (mysql_error())); { if(mysql_num_rows($list) > 0){ if (mysql_num_rows($list)) { while($videos=mysql_fetch_array($list)) { ?> <div id="content"> <center><h3><?php echo $videos['title']; ?></h3> <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="<?php echo $videos['youtubelink']; ?>"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="<?php echo $videos['youtubelink']; ?>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> <br/><br/><a onclick="javascript:history.go(-1)" href="#">Go Back</a> </center> </div> <?php } } } ?> Sorry for my noob question, I've learned about sessions a bit and tried to make a simple "game", basically a user has to enter one of the colors of the rainbow and after they name all 7, they win. Sounds simple enough, but I'm clearly making an obvious mistake and I've googled and read and experimented, but obviously something is alluding me. Here is the pastebin: http://pastebin.com/XmN4YLp8 I suppose what I want to know is...how do I store the values from the form (that is, $_POST['color']) and save that information to something like an array, because whatever I'm doing now is resetting the counter ($_SESSION['left']) and if a user guesses "red" for instance, it temporarily goes from 7 to 6, but then bumps up to 7? I'm not sure why, but once I added a search form in my nav menu, it made my other forms on the website such as login and signup form take them to where the search button would take them. any ideas??? I am come across a very odd situation when I include a connnet.php file. For some reason it messes up the layout of the page. However when I enter the connect code onto the page it looks fine. Code: [Select] include("connect.php"); What is also strange is that when I include the header and footer it works fine. For some reason it is just when I include the connect.php file. Is this because it is above the CSS file? Code: [Select] include("header.php"); Code: [Select] include("footer.php"); |
