Include Files with PHP

If you use htaccess to restrict a directory can you still use the include function to include a file from that directory? I want to include a php file after an succesfully login. Let's suposed that I have a login form on index.php. If the login was ok I want to include a php file with some content instead of the login form. Something like: Code: [Select] <? if($_POST['ok']){ require('content.php'); } else { //login form } ?> It's ok to include in the code the name of the file that you have on server ? From security point of view. Thanks I have to store my Authorize.net Payment Gateway values somewhere safe. (i.e. Outside of the Web Root) I tried this code but my checkout page that formerly worked with local values in Test Mode is crashing. // Include Authorize.net Values. require_once('/var/www/vhosts/MyWebsite.com/private/auth_config.php'); I think the issue is that private maybe can't be read or included by other files? Would using another Linux directory solve my problem? Debbie Hi all not been playing with php over the past year and still a noob lol i did have some code to include files based on the URL link E.G: Code: [Select] http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?page=about then i had some form of string that would access the URL so it would have checked if the url was just index.php or had ?page=somepage after it I can not seem to find any referance on the www or shift the headach i have got trying to remember the code so thought some of you wondaful people would no what i am on about and point me in the rught direction of a tutorial for the information or have the code tohand so i can referance from it thanx all Dear All, I have just signed up to the forums so hello. I'm a complete novice to PHP and have a question. I've written a site using PHP but am stuck, how I have written is that certain pages use INCLUDE files that pull out information from .TXT files. The question I have is, is it possible to contain another INCLUDE link within the .TXT file? i.e. index.php includes companyname.txt but companyname.txt only has this line of text in it: <?php include("../includes/moreinformation.txt"); ?> I know it is quite a weird question/request but is there a way of doing this? So basically have an include within an include although the file extensions are .TXT. Thanks and looking forward to any help from you Pros. Kindest regards, James. James. This topic has been moved to CSS Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=332328.0 Hi all, I'm at a dead-end here. I have a php file that I can query to return an array containing a bunch of data about a job listing. I include and query it by calling it like so within another file on my site. Quick Notes: The original file is in a different directory on my site than the page it's being included in. I have tried returning the array at the end of the script. I can print_r the array on the page I'm including the script on (so the URL path is correct). If I go to this URL directly and print_r on the array, I see the entire array as expected. Also, if I include the file on page 2 like I did above with print_r on the array in the original file, I see the array printed out on page 2. Code: [Select] include 'http://www.example.com/php/job-details.php?job=jobname&city=thecity'; However, if I do not print_r on the array in the original file and just include it on page 2, I cannot do anything with it and the array variable isn't found. Is this a case of variable scope? I'm so frustrated... Here is the code I have in my original file: Code: [Select] <? include('functions.php'); $jobtitlematch = $_GET["job"]; $jobcitymatch = $_GET["city"]; //echo $jobtitlematch; //echo $jobcitymatch; $url = 'http://somesite.com/something'; $xml = simplexml_load_file($url); foreach($xml->job as $job) { $jobtitle = makeURL((string)$job->title); $jobcity = makeURL((string)$job->region); if ($jobtitle == $jobtitlematch && $jobcity == $jobcitymatch) { $jobdata[] = array( Title => ((string)$job->title), URL_Title => makeURL((string)$job->title), Location => ((string)$job->region), URL_Location => makeURL((string)$job->region), Department => ((string)$job->department), URL_Department => makeURL((string)$job->department), Overview => ((string)$job->joboverview), Responsibilities => ((string)$job->responsibilities), Qualifications => ((string)$job->qualifications), Keywords => ((string)$job->metakeywords) ); } return $jobdata; //I have also tried return global $jobdata; } print_r($jobdata); ?> Thanks in advance for any help you can provide... Im having a scope problem when creating a library. This is the test file: Code: [Select] <?php include_once 'lib/lib_inventario.php'; session_start(); hacerFormulario('Memoria Ram'); ?> And this the library importer: Code: [Select] <?php $lib_usada = 'Inventario'; include_once 'registroglobal.php'; $reg = RegistroGlobal::GetInstance(); include 'errores.php'; include_once 'test.php'; include 'sesiones.php'; include 'bd.php'; include 'seguridad.php'; include 'usuarios.php'; include 'web_inventario.php'; $reg->setConf('Libreria usada', 'Basica'); ?> Well, i explain what the second code does. It imports a few modules that have function or object definitions in they. So the idea is that just importing the lib_whatever file you import all the functions you need, and also set some configuration settings. My problem with the first code is that it says that the function is undefined, when it sure exist in web_inventario file... Hi, This is an odd one (to me anyway). I've created an API for deploying gig information in either XML or JSON format. It works fine as it is, both formats of output giving me what I want. When I take out the mySQL login information and replace it with "include 'connect_include.php';" (where the file connect_include.php contains the exact login code that I replced). The JSON output works fine but the XML output doesn't run. What could be causing this?? JSON API: -http://www.api.the-guards.co.uk/jsontest.php?apikey=123456&format=json XML API: - http://www.api.the-guards.co.uk/jsontest.php?apikey=123456&format=xml API code: Code: [Select] <?php if (($_GET['apikey'])==123456 and isset($_GET['format'])){ //Set variables $format = strtolower($_GET['format']); //Connect to the Database include 'connect_include.php'; //Run our query $result = mysql_query(' SELECT * FROM tg_gig_list where gl_date >= curdate() and gl_publish = 1 order by gl_date '); //Preapre our output if($format == 'json') { while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result,MYSQL_ASSOC)) { $array[] = array($row['gl_date']=>($row['gl_venue'].', '.$row['gl_city'])); }; $output = json_encode($array); //Output the output. echo $output; header('Content-type: application/json'); } elseif($format == 'xml') { header('Content-type: text/xml'); $output = "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?>\n"; $output .= "<tggiglist>\n"; for($i = 0 ; $i < mysql_num_rows($result) ; $i++){ $row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result); $output .= "<giglist> \n"; $output .= "<giglist_date>" . $row['gl_date'] . "</giglist_date> \n"; $output .= "<giglist_venue>" . $row['gl_venue'] . "</giglist_venue> \n"; $output .= "<giglist_city>" . $row['gl_city'] . "</giglist_city> \n"; $output .= "</giglist> \n"; } $output .= "</tggiglist>"; } } else { die ('no way'); } //output the output echo $output; ?> Contents of 'connect_include.php: Code: [Select] <?php mysql_connect("database.lcn.com", "dbname", "password") or die(mysql_error()); mysql_select_db("db") or die(mysql_error()); ?> .....this is the same code that I replaced. Obviously, the 'connect' works ok as the JSON version runs fine. There's something being added to the scripting when I use the include file that isn't there when the code goes straight in.....I think???? Hi, Please bear with me, I have no real experience with PHP but am using it for the first time in a page for maintenance purposes. One of the things I am trying to do is include a random page from within a certain folder (folder: 'modules/did-you-know'). Inside this folder there are currently three files named in this format 'did-you-know-###.php' - where ### is the page number. I have no problems including the named page individually, but it is when randomising it where it causes errors. The code I am using is the following: Code: [Select] <?php $i=0; $myDirectory = dir("modules/did-you-know"); while($file=$myDirectory->read()) { $array[$i]=$file; $i++; } $myDirectory->close(); $num = count($array); $random = rand(0, $num); include "$array[$random]"; ?> When I load the page, I get numerous errors, as follows: Warning: include(..) [function.include]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /home/{USERNAME}/public_html/test2/index.php on line 103 Warning: include(..) [function.include]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /home/{USERNAME}/public_html/test2/index.php on line 103 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '..' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/{USERNAME}/public_html/test2/index.php on line 103 Warning: include(did-you-know-002.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/{USERNAME}/public_html/test2/index.php on line 103 Warning: include(did-you-know-002.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/{USERNAME}/public_html/test2/index.php on line 103 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'did-you-know-002.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/{USERNAME}/public_html/test2/index.php on line 103 Now, it's clear from the above that it is (at least sometimes) reading the files from within the 'did-you-know' directory, so not sure why I am getting these errors. (Especially the last one, as that would suggest an error to do with permissions, would it not?) Line 103 is the "include" line. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks HY I have index.php and pictures.php. In index.php I have 3 columns: - left (for menu) - right (for advertising) - center (where I want to include pictures.php) What is the best way to include pictures.php in center of index.php Code: [Select] if($_get[pictures]){ include ("pictures.php"); } I ask this because I have multiple variable like "pictures" and I will have multiple "If". Or to include in DB all this variables "pictures" and just add ".php" extension. It is secure in this way ? Thanks In the file "secure/checkout.php" I have... Code: [Select] <?php require_once "../config.inc.php"; ?> which is Relative. Can I use an Absolute Path instead?? Debbie Hi, This is fairly urgent, so I appreciate any help anybody can give me ASAP. I recently upgraded from PHP 4 to 5 and now certain "include" code is not working on my site. Here's an example: Code: [Select] // if topic selected, display the relevant content. if ($topic == 'page1') { include ("$topic.php"); } elseif ($topic == 'page2') { include ("$topic.php"); } // else wrong or no link selected. else { print "Go to the <A HREF = 'main.php'>Main page</A>"; } Let's say the above code was in a PHP file called "frontpage.php". It used to be that if a person went to "mydomain.com/frontpage.php?topic=page1" then the page called for in the above code would include the content of "page1.php" in "frontpage.php". It's no longer working. Any ideas why or how to fix it? Any better way of doing this? Thanks, Steve I use my desktop (Windows) to make websites and then once it's completed transfer to my Linux server but I've come across a weird issue. On Windows the file location is like this: C:\Server\Apache\htdocs\RSCEmulation On Linux the file location is like this: /home/rscemulation/public_html Now in those folders I have a folder called 'include', in that I have 2 files: header.php, functions.php In the base folder I have index.php. I then include header.php by using: include "include/header.php"; Then I include functions.php (from header.php) by using: include "functions.php"; Now on Linux this chucks an error, even with "./functions.php" -- I have to use include "include/functions.php" even though I'm already in that directory from the file I'm calling it from, although admittedly the file is being included from the directory below but this works fine on Windows with a base PHP install. This Linux box was given to me and I'm not sure if any PHP settings have been changed or not. I also have a config.php that I keep below the public directory (htdocs or public_html) but it won't let me include it on the Linux server by using "../../config.php" (I've tried all levels ranging from 0-5 with no luck) Can anyone shed some light on this please? I need it to work the same both on the Windows and Linux boxes as I copy and paste the files regularly and it's annoying changing them! Cheers. I'm trying to use this script known as SimpleImage.php that can be found here <a href="http://www.white-hat-web-design.co.uk/articles/php-image-resizing.php">link</a> I'm trying to include what is on the bottom of the page to my existing script can anyone help me I've tried several ways but its not working. Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('display_errors','On'); //error_reporting(E_ALL); // image upload folder $image_folder = 'images/classified/'; // fieldnames in form $all_file_fields = array('image1', 'image2' ,'image3', 'image4'); // allowed filetypes $file_types = array('jpg','gif','png'); // max filesize 5mb $max_size = 5000000; //echo'<pre>';print_r($_FILES);exit; $time = time(); $count = 1; foreach($all_file_fields as $fieldname){ if($_FILES[$fieldname]['name'] != ''){ $type = substr($_FILES[$fieldname]['name'], -3, 3); // check filetype if(in_array(strtolower($type), $file_types)){ //check filesize if($_FILES[$fieldname]['size']>$max_size){ $error = "File too big. Is there a better way to pass variables to a newly created page? (fopen). Many thanks for any ideas. I have an array created to control the down states of the my buttons in my navigation. Which is working well. This array will have quite a few strings in it before I'm done. I then want to conditionally load a CSS file for all the files in that array with the exception of two, is this possible? In plain in english I want to say If in array apart from these values then load my css file. My array (will have more values when complete) Code: [Select] $otherTitles = array('Product Selector', 'Avon Range', 'Knightsbridge Range', 'Kingston Range' ); My code to load a css file Code: [Select] <?php if (in_array($title, $otherTitles)) { ?> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="homepage.css"/> <?php } ?> I want all titles in the otherTitles array to get this CSS file apart from two Product Selector and Avon Range. Thanks Richard Code: [Select] $query = mysql_query("SELECT DISTINCT subtype FROM business WHERE type ='Restaurant' ORDER BY name"); echo mysql_error(); while($ntx=mysql_fetch_row($query)) $nt[] = $ntx[0]; $i = -1; foreach($nt as $value) {$i++; echo "<a href='" . str_replace(' ','_',$nt[$i]) . Any ideas? How do I find the count of mysql num rows and output that value with this function? Code: [Select] function fetch_company_fans($cid) { $cid = (int)$cid; $sql = "stuff"; $result = mysql_query($sql); $fans = array(); while (($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) !== false) { $fans[] = array( 'username' => $row['username'], ); } return $fans; } How do I make sure that SPACES are allow in a regular expression like this... Code: [Select] if (preg_match('/^[A-Z0-9#&\',.-]{2,30}$/i', $_POST['address1'])){ Thanks, Debbie Hello, I have a simply query that will if a simple two different things: Code: [Select] $cssyn = mysql_query("SELECT `12` FROM `12345` WHERE `abc` = '$_SESSION[number]'"); $cssy = mysql_fetch_row($cssyn); if($cssy[0] == "YES") { echo "Yes"; } else { echo "No"; } The YES or NO result is stipulated earlier on so thats not the problem. But basically before I added the if statement simply would have echoed a table with all the rows etc from another query. However I would like to give the user a choice between echoeing the results into one table or a neater two. I have separated the code for the table and the queries into two separate files but say if I use: file_get_contents then it just prints the HTML and doesnt actually populate it will the queried parts. Nor if I use something like include() then it wont echo anything, which it wouldnt unless called so what I am asking is: Is there a way to get EVERYTHING from the file if the answer is YES or the other file if NO. Hi! I have a class with many functions/methods. I want to split this into different files so I can easily edit and add functions. I want every functions to be able to call eachother and with that I mean, they have to be for example in same document. My question is: I can't have a class and include functions like this: Code: [Select] class DB { include('select_functions.php'); //Only includes function's no class include('insert_functions.php'); //Only includes function's no class include('delete_functions.php'); //Only includes function's no class function test() { } } The includes will output fatal errors... How can I solve this so I can have all functions in different files but still use ONE object to call them! Thanks! I was using Include() with an ereg expression to strip all harmful characters out of the $_GET['id'];. However, a few people have stated to me that no matter what I do this function is not safe to use and is easily exploitable even after removing illegal characters from $_GET['id']; Now I am looking for a way to include a web page that uses html and php. file() does not work as it includes my php code within the output so anyone can read it. File_get_contents() did not display any of the page whatsoever. Hi, I am trying to include my menu and header on my website. It seems to be picking up the pictures but not showing them. My code is: <?php include ("..\head.html"); ?> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <tr> <td valign="top" align="left" width="90"> <?php include ("..\menu.html"); ?> My file structure is like this: FILE menu.php FILE head.php FOLDER blog - FILE index.php(where the code came from) FOLDER Images The menu and head files all link to the images folder, it is showing me the name of the image but just a little red cross. I hope that explains it ok. I don't knwo if i'm just missing something simple. Can anyone help? Hi, I am trying to upload my PHP file in a directory on the sub domain called "pro" the error I am getting is I have used <?php include ("/pro/error_function.php"); ?> Warning: include(/pro/error_function.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in and Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/pro/error_function.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') could some one help me what is the problem? Ok I am not sure if this is possible but I hope someone out there can show me a way. I have a webpage with left content boxes that are looped in depending on the sql info. In one of the boxes the content of the box is going to be another page being pulled in. Now normally I would just put in the include ("page"); but its inside of an echo so you would end the echo do the include and then start the echo back up, however in this case its pulling in the coding from a variable so im a bit lost as to what to do now. The page would have something like... Code: [Select] echo ' '.html_entity_decode(stripslashes($info[content])).' '; and the info content part is Code: [Select] include("pages/paypalbox.php") I've tried making the variable Code: [Select] '; include("pages/paypalbox.php"); echo' Hoping that would fix it but I should of known better, the variable is being pulled in so its not processing it as part of the first step coding and it isn't going to do anything other then print it out like text. So is there a way to make this work? Thanks. Hi all I'm quite a competent PHP coder but where it comes to preg_match I prefer to be ignorant, because I can't get my head around the patterns. Basically, I'm working with a script that someone else has written, and I'm coming across problems because the URL that is being validated sometimes has curly brackets '( )' in it (these are image file names generated by an internal system). I have the pattern, how do I modify this to allow curly brackets? On some occasions, the urls have just the opening or just the closing, so its never the complete set. if someone could give me an indication with this, because I'm clueless! Thanks in advance! Ste pattern: Code: [Select] $pattern = '/^(([\w]+:)?\/\/)?(([\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})+(:([\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})+)?@)?([\d\w][-\d\w]{0,253}[\d\w]\.)+[\w]{2,4}(:[\d]+)?(\/([-+_~.\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})*)*(\?(&?([-+_~.\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})=?)*)?(#([-+_~.\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})*)?$/'; Code for index.php: Code: [Select] <html> <head> <title>Outer World Investigation Agency</title> <link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> </head> <body> <center> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"> <tr> <td> <ul id="menu"> <li><a href="index.html" class="home"></a></li> <li><a href="mkvsdc.html" class="mkvsdc"></a></li> <li><a href="mk2011.html" class="mk2011"></a></li> <li><a href="mkr.html" class="mkr"></a></li> </ul> </td> </tr> </table> <div id="div-name"> <?php include("mainpage.html"); ?> </div> </center> </body> </html> How can I make the links within the included HTML file (mainpage.html) open its contents within itself as if it were a separate frame from my index.php file? Whenever I click a link that's in mainpage.html it opens the link and my PHP file is gone. My PHP file includes a menu that I don't want to have to re-write over and over again in each HTML page. Hello everyone, I have a site where the folders are set up in this arrangement: Code: [Select] _ ClientsFolder - client1 - | page-folder - pages are here (index.php) | | image-folder - images here | |_include-folder - style.css and database connections here _ client2 - | page-folder - pages are here (index.php) | | image-folder - images here | |_include-folder - style.css and database connections here PageIncludeFolder - include pages here (index.inc.php) The reason my folders are set up this way is because multiple clients will be using my site, but each client will have a customized sub-domain, yet all the code on the pages will be the same. All of the pages for the clients site are placed in ClientsFolder/client1/page-folder. Each page in this folder is a page that simply includes an entire page from the PageIncludeFolder. For example: ClientsFolder/client1/page-folder/index.php and ClientsFolder/client2/page-folder/index.php are exactly the same, file, which simply has the following code: Code: [Select] <?php include("../../../PageIncludeFolder/index.inc.php"); ?>The reason for this is so that I can easily modify all the client sites by only modifying the files that are in the PageIncludeFolder. (Trying to work smarter, not harder!) The images, style.css, and script.js files are called from the index.inc.php, which is included on the index.php page. For example, style.css is located at ClientsFolder/client1/page-folder/include-folder/style.css. So to link to the .css file, I have the following code in the index.inc.php file: Code: [Select] <link href="../include-folder/style.css" rel="sytlesheet" type="text/css" /> And images are linked using code similar to this: Code: [Select] <img src="../image-folder/image.jpg" /> Now, when I visit the index.php page by entering the entire url (http://www.mysite.com/ClientsFolder/client1/page-folder/index.php) everything works perfectly. However, as I stated, each client is being set up with a sub-domain. Client 1 has the sub-domain of http://client1/mysite.com, which is pointed to http://www.mysite.com/ClientsFolder/client1/page-folder/index.php. When I try to visit client 1's site using the sub-domain, the index.inc.php page is included perfectly, but the images and the style.css files are not being linked. I know this is kind of confusing, but as you can probably tell, I have spent many, many hours putting this together and now I need help to figure out what is wrong and why certain files are not linking properly ONLY when the page is visited using the sub-domain. ANY help or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated! Thanks everyone! I am having some real problems with the code in red below which sits in my "index.php" file, and would be very grateful for any help! <?php include("header.php"); include $_GET["view"] . ".php"; include("footer.php"); ?> The links for my "views" (e.g. <a href="?view=page_news">News</a> ) are in my "header.php" file. The whole website works absolutely fine, except when you first arrive on the homepage you get: Notice: Undefined index: view Warning: include(.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory This is presumably because a link hasn't been clicked yet, thus a "view" hasn't been defined yet, but I have no idea how to get around this! I hope I haven't been too vague with my explanation... Thanks, James Hi: I have this code that - when added to a page - works fine: Code: [Select] <div class=\"<?php echo (time() <= strtotime('4/17/2011 2:00:00 AM')) ? 'myUpcoming' : 'myPassed'; ?>\"> <span class=\"myGameDate\">April 16:</span> <span class="myGameDateRed">Home</span> vs Baltimore </div> It's a schedule that will display one CSS style before the date, and another CSS style after the date. Works fine on the homepage. I am trying to add it to an include navigation file, so I can add it to all the pages like this: myNav.php Code: [Select] function spSchedule() { $spSchedule = " <div class=\". echo time() ." <= strtotime("4/17/2011 2:00:00 AM") ? \"myUpcoming\" : \"myPassed\"; .\"> <span class=\"myGameDate\">April 16:</span> <span class=\"myGameDateRed\">Home</span> vs Baltimore </div> "; return $spSchedule; } myPage.php: Code: [Select] <?php include('include/myNav.php'); ?> ... <?php echo spSchedule(); ?> What it is doing is writing "myUpcoming" to the page, and that's it. What am I missing on this, please? Hi peeps iv been trying to figure out this but i cant see it....its probably obvious!!! in the $header variable the include files dont show... any ideas here the php code <? session_start(); ?> <link href="/styles/main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <? //get data $button = $_GET['submit']; $search = $_GET['search']; $search = strtoupper($search); $header = ("<table width='100%' border='0' height='80' cellpadding='4' bgcolor='#000000' > <tr> <td width='39%' height='76' valign='top'><p><span class='stigrosheadfont'><strong>www.StigRos.com</strong></span><strong><span class='headnocrap'><br /> ( No Crap - Just Quality Movie & Music Downloads )</span></span><br /> <a href='http://mysite' class='headerlinkcolor'>Home</a> | <a href='register.php' class='headerlinkcolor'>Register</a> | <a href='#' class='headerlinkcolor'>Contact us</a></strong></td> <td width='47%' valign='bottom'><p class='normalblacktext'>You are currently logged in, <b>$_SESSION[username]</b></td> <td width='14%' valign='top'><div align='center'> <div align='center'><span class='headfont'><strong>Disclaimer</strong></span></div> <div align='center'> <? include_once 'countertest.php'; ?> <? date('F d, Y'); ?></div></td> </tr> </table>"); $s = $_GET['s']; if (!$s) $s = 0; $e = 10; // Just change to how many results you want per page $next = $s + $e; $prev = $s - $e; if (strlen($search)<=2) echo "Must be greater then 3 chars $user"; else { echo $header; echo " <form action='search.php' method='GET'> <center> <br> <input name='search' type='text' class='blacktext' size='50'> <input name='submit' type='submit' class='blacktext' value='Search Film'></font></p> </center> </form> "; //connect to db include('db.php'); //explode out search term $search_exploded = explode(" ",$search); foreach($search_exploded as $search_each) { //construct query $x++; if ($x==1) $construct .= "keyword LIKE '%$search_each%'"; else $construct .= " OR keyword LIKE '%$search_each%'"; } //echo outconstruct $constructx = "SELECT * FROM movies WHERE $construct"; $construct = "SELECT * FROM movies WHERE $construct LIMIT $s,$e"; $run = mysql_query($constructx); $foundnum = mysql_num_rows($run); $run_two = mysql_query("$construct"); if ($foundnum==0) echo "No results found for <b>$search</b>"; else { echo "<table bgcolor='#000000' width='80%' height='1px' align='center'><br /></table><table bgcolor='#000000' width='80%' height='10px' align='center'><tr><td><div align='right'><font color='#E6E6E6'>Showing 1-10 of <b>$foundnum</b> results found for <b>$search.</b></font></div></td></tr></table><p>"; echo "<br>"; while ($runrows = mysql_fetch_assoc($run_two)) { //get data $title = $runrows['film']; $desc = $runrows['description']; $url = $runrows['dl_link']; $imdb = $runrows['imdb']; $pic = $runrows['pic']; $film = $runrows['film']; echo "<table width='900' border='1' align='center'> <tr> <td width='229' align='center'><IMG SRC='$pic'></td> <td class='blacktext' width='655' align='center'><b>$film</b><br /><br />$desc<br /><br /><a href='$url' target='_blank'><b>Download Now</b></a> | <a href='$imdb' target='_blank'><b>IMDb</b></a></td> </tr> </table> "; } ?> <table width='100%'> <tr> <td> <div align="center"> <?php if (!$s<=0) echo "<a href='search.php?search=$search&s=$prev'>Prev</a>"; $i =1; for ($x=0;$x<$foundnum;$x=$x+$e) { echo " <a href='search.php?search=$search&s=$x'>$i</a> "; $i++; } if ($s<$foundnum-$e) echo "<a href='search.php?search=$search&s=$next'>Next</a>"; } } ?> </div> </td> </tr> </table> In my code include_once "http://myserver.com/someFile.php" does not work but include_once "/someFile.php" works I NEED to be able to full URL. Anyone know what PHP setting I need to change to get this working for me? Thanks I have a php file that generates a string that I need to use in a .js (javascript)file. Being that php developers sometimes using javascript with php, Im hoping someone can help me with this, cause i dont know any javascript. Code: [Select] //This is the varible inside the .js file var suggestionText = "I need to be able to include my string generated by the php file here..."; Im trying to create a php template. What I want to do is take in GET data saying what page I am on, then include that in the template. THe trouble is I cant get the damn thing to work, it keeps saying the file does not exist! Here is my code <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head> <body> <div class="content"> <?php $page = $_GET['page']; $path = '/inc ' .$page .".php"; if(!isset($page)) { die('No Page Specified'); } if (file_exists($path)) { include($path); } else { die('Does not exsist!'); } ?> </div> </body> </html> I'm using XHTML 1.0 Transitional and in a line of my code I have used: "<?php include ("drop_down_menu.php"); ?>" I've tried changing the file type to .html but it doesn't work either, unless I actually copy and paste the content in the index file. \= Is it XHTML 1.0 Transitional that doesn't allow this? I've previously worked with HTML 4.01 Transitional and it worked. Is there some way of a php include which is visible on every page (footer), itself having two php includes, but only one of which would be visible, then on the user refreshing the page or on visiting another page on the site, that include would be replaced with another php include? Preferably done without any js. Any help appreciated. Chris Are there any problems with calling an include file from within the <header> tags? The reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to load a speficied Style sheet based on a user's location and so I'm running a short script to determine which Style sheet needs to be displayed ... and that script is called from within the header tag. I haven't heard of any problems with doing this in the past, but the script seems to be generating an extra set of <HTML> tags in my source code and I can't figure out why this might be! Thanks, |
